Bagalkot Holi Festival 2026

The Bagalkot Holi Festival 2026 was one of the prominent cultural celebrations held in Bagalkot city. The festival began with the inauguration of the Holi celebrations near the Hole Anjaneya Temple at Basaveshwara Circle. Traditional Kama Dahanam formed part of the opening celebrations, followed by several days of colour-based festivities. The main colour celebrations were conducted from 5 to 7 March, with people from different parts of Bagalkot participating in the traditional celebrations. A special Rain Dance programme was also organised on 6 March, including a separate arrangement for women. The celebration reflected Bagalkot’s distinctive Holi traditions, in which residents gather in traditional localities and streets to celebrate with colours, music and cultural activities. The festival created a lively atmosphere throughout the city and encouraged participation from families, young people and community groups. It also demonstrated the district’s strong tradition of celebrating festivals through community participation and cultural expression.
