Pattadakal Heritage Garden Area
The open landscaped areas around the Pattadakal monument complex provide visitors with a pleasant setting for walking, sightseeing, photography, and relaxation. Pattadakal is situated on the banks of the Malaprabha River and is one of Bagalkot District’s most important heritage destinations. The site contains an exceptional group of Chalukyan monuments representing both northern Nagara and southern Dravidian architectural traditions. The surrounding open spaces and maintained lawns complement the historic temples and create a peaceful environment for visitors. Tourists can spend time exploring the monuments while enjoying the natural surroundings of the Malaprabha river valley. Pattadakal is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important cultural attraction of Karnataka.
