Navaratri Festival 2026

Navaratri is one of the major annual religious and cultural celebrations observed across Karnataka and is expected to bring vibrant festivities to Bagalkot District in 2026. The festival is associated with the worship of Goddess Durga and includes special prayers, devotional programmes, cultural performances and community gatherings. Temples and public spaces are generally decorated during the festival, while devotees participate in daily worship and special ceremonies. The celebrations culminate in Vijayadashami, which symbolises the triumph of good over evil. In Bagalkot, the festival provides an opportunity for families and communities to participate in traditional religious and cultural activities. Special pujas and programmes may be conducted at individual temples and local community venues. The 2026 Bagalkot festival calendar lists Navratri beginning on 21 September, while Vijayadashami is observed on 20 October 2026.
